Adam is the co-founder and the brain that operates Kumidia Web Marketing, a global web development business. He has more than 5 years of IT experiences and has a preference for helping businesses use technology to grow. As the co-founder, he is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company and he serves as a consultant for many types of businesses that want to get into the web.
Adam's technical expertise is in web development. As a web developer, he builds websites using programming languages and is responsible for the foundation behind the content you don't see online. In other words, he's the backstage guy for your show.
Before he got into this technical field, he was a high school teacher in Japan teaching computer science, social science, and English. In 2007, after developing a unique philosophy on employment, Adam decided to go entrepreneurial with several business projects in Japan, in which Kumidia Web Marketing was one of them.
With a strong yet friendly personality, Adam continues to be active with web technological innovations, web performance, SEO tactics, and web security. He is also the search engine specialist who studies and optimizes sites so that it can achieve high rankings on popular search engines.
Besides his career as a web developer, Adam enjoys photography and SCUBA as a technical research diver.
Last but not least, he's always down for a beer! Wanna have a beer with him?
Hobbies: Family time, SCUBA, photography, building advanced computers, and travel.
Kumi is the core web designer and co-founder of Kumidia who represents your business in the best way possible. As a web designer she is responsible for the graphics and the content that contribute to the look and feel of a website. This is a HARD job!
With over 100+ web based design projects in the past year, Kumi is a very ambitious woman and an active leader among young business women in Japan.
Kumi's background as a web designer starts way up in a sky scraper in Tokyo. She worked as designer for Sony Digital Entertainment Systems creating graphics for mobile phones and web applications. In April of 2008, Kumi quit her job to join Adam to help run Kumicard, which through their combined efforts grew and evolved to become Kumidia Web Marketing.
For fun, Kumi enjoys participating in many entrepreneurial activities that consults and encourages entrepreneurs especially women in Japan to start their own businesses. She also appreciates teaching women elegant business manners and etiquette. Whenever possible, Kumi would like to make new friends and enjoys cooking a variety of exotic dishes as well as participating in a variety of sports from bowling to mountain climbing. Last but not least, she always looks for a chance to speak English.
Despite her soft elegant looks, Kumi is an active softball player who was selected as a representative for her high school team in 1999 to represent and take part in Japan's National Athletic Softball Conference.
Hobbies: Mountain climbing, cooking, drawing, softball, travel, and eating gourmet dishes.

Mainly as a sales representative, it is his job to deliver what Kumidia can do for clients, their business, and their future on the web.
In addition, he enjoys offering technical help to clients on problems ranging from computer problems to problems with life... Although still a young gun on the team, his audacity, judgement, and critical thinking skills equal one of a boss.

Hope is a German Shepherd Dog found by the Kumidia Team at a rescue shelter in Yokohama, Japan. Hope was still a puppy when he was just three days away from being euthanized in a gas chamber in the spring of 2009. However, through sheer luck and good timing, Hope was rescued and he became part of the Kumidia family. It's important to note that authorities were reluctant and did not grant Adam and Kumi adoption rights because of their young age and marital status. However, they fought hard for him (they're very strict in Japan esp. with large aggressive dogs) and eventually won the right to adopt Hope. Because of the ordeal they went through rescuing this intelligent and powerful animal, they named him "Hope", simply because they never gave up hope despite the odds against them. (Adam once said that it's probably easier to adopt a child in Japan than it is a dog for some strange reason...)
Today, Hope is serving as a well trained and very cost effective security watch dog for Kumidia. His main job is to safeguard Kumidia computers and other IT equipment. Hope plays a very important role for Kumidia because he serves as an awesome companion and a smart security dog while being able to accurately distinguish between friend and foe. We never had a false alarm with this dog!
Sometimes the best of the best security systems of today can't beat a dog's judgement and Hope is a testament to that.
Hobbies: Eating, more eating, and marking territory.
